Fibre Fallout is the biennial weekend retreat of the North Country Spinners Inc. (New Jersey), which was held last September. This guild, established in 1983 by a small group of novice spinners, now has up to sixty-five men and women meeting monthly and offers workshops open to the public. As a not-for-profit corporation, it has a mission to attract people to the fiber arts, especially children, and it is eligible for matching gifts from participating companies. Its members may be seen demonstrating, usually on high-whorl spindles, at schools, community events, historic homes, county fairs, the Garden State Sheep Breeders Show, Millbrook Village, and Quiet Valley Farm near Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
