It's here!
The Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers, and Dyers has launched a new book,
A Legacy of Shetland Lace, published by
the
Shetland Times Ltd. The book's twenty-one lace knitting projects,
designed by members of the guild, are accompanied by each designer's bio to
help us learn more about this interesting group of artisans.

The launch took
place, as described in an earlier Spinner's Connection post, at Shetland
Wool Week in October. Hazel
Tindall, who has two designs in the book, shared a few photos of a display
featuring the lace pieces that appear in the book. The photos are by Alan
Raistrick, a member of the Oxford Guild of Spinners, Weavers, and Dyers who visited the Shetland Isles on holiday.
A Legacy of Shetland Lace can be ordered from the Shetland Times
shop.
