We have our Winners! Win the Spin Art Puzzle

Jan 13, 2013

Congratulations to our five winners: fibonicci, Knitty Kittty, MaureenH@7, PhylE, and TheYarnMarm! The Spin Art Puzzle will soon be on its way to you. Thanks for everyone who shared words that start with "Spin." We've enjoyed reading each and every one of your entries (and learned a few new words!). Keep an eye out for future giveaways on Spinning Daily.

Puzzles have a tendency to bring people together. It is hard to resist the urge to take a seat and see if you fit a few pieces together yourself.

This year at the Spin-Off Autumn Retreat (SOAR), we had one of the Spin Art Puzzles (featuring the lovely photography from Jacey Bogg's book of the same name) at the registration desk. Over a couple of days it slowly grew when there was a quiet moment at the desk. Eventually, participants started stopping by on their breaks to take a turn fitting pieces. Many interesting conversations transpired over the puzzle and many spinners got to know each other a little better. It was magical.

Would you like to win this fun puzzle? Play a puzzle game with us! In the comments below, list as many words as you can think of that start with the word "spin."

We'll randomly choose five winners from all the comments at 3 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on Monday, January 21. Comment before then for your chance to win! This giveaway sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico) 18 years or older at the time of entry. Click here to read the official rules.

Looking forward to your answers!

This is fun.  I like these challenges.  So, here' is my contribution of those words which can't be found in online dictionaries.  First, the proper nouns:

* SPIN-OFF * SPINOLUTION * SPINEROSITY *

Now, the extemporaneous words which, I predict, could become part of our working vocabulary, with time, if they aren't already.  The hyphens are for clarity in pronunciation.

* SPIN-A-LICIOUS * SPIN-MAZING * SPIN-OUT * SPIN-ON * SPIN-UP * SPIN-TASTIC  * SPIN-MAGIC * SPIN-OGRAPHY * SPIN-OLOGY * SPIN-OSOPHY * SPIN-O-GRAPHIC * SPIN-O-PODIA * SPIN-OLOGIST * SPIN-ASTHETIC *

Yes, that was fun.  If more is needed, let me know!

Spinny Blonde!

 Alas, as a Canadian, it seems that I am ineligible, but I had to contribute that one!
