I had been intently watching my email today too until I read on Ravelry that a scholarship winner had already heard last Thursday.

craftmonkey, if I remember correctly. it's supposed to be announced today April 23rd, 2012. But I haven't gotten any news in e-mail.

I attended another conference at Granlibakken Resort a few years ago. It's a lovely place!

Yes--when registration opens a button will magically appear in the top right hand corner of your screen--you'll want to refresh your browser frequently while you're waiting.

How does one actually register ? Will there be a page or a button to push on the SOAR page or what ? How good are the servers? Will they be able to handle the load ?

Tomorrow is the first of April, surely things should be ready by now?

SOAR is one of my life ambitions and I need clearly defined instructions on how to register , can my friend register for me, what about hotel rooms etc. What if we do not get in SOAR, can we come as hangers on ? Is the market place open to non-SOAR people ? Many questions which have yet to be answered anywhere.

I'm sure that you all are working as hard as possible to get those class descriptions up, but I must say that I'm disappointed that we will get so little time to consider our choices before the mad rush of registration.

In addition, some of us have personal scheduling conflicts which shorten that time even more. Have you considered the impact this is having on people who don't have easy internet access? Or, as in my case, will have extremely limited internet access starting the first week of April?
