hello! :) i'm katie. i live in ohio. i'm 19 and i love to get into way too many projects at once. ;)

i have three goats right now. two of them i milk daily.

i have 5 adult rabbits and some kits. soon more kits hopefully.

i would like to become self sufficient and be able to make/grow everything i possible can.

i have just made my own drop spindle and made some yarn on it. i have some wool that i dyed/washed from raw wool. i carded it all with catbrushes. i'm saving up for real carders though.

i have a few bags of raw angora goat mohair. i am only just today trying my hand at washing a small batch of it. it is drying in my room right now and i think i will need to wash it again/more tomorrow. it has hay and things in it. i put it in an onion bag to wash it.

i am new to doing all of this but i read alot and have been reading about it and watching videos and online things.

Hi Katie - welcome! I'm with you on getting into too many projects at once :) How fun that you have goats and rabbits! You're lucky to keep animals like that. What do you do with the milk? Goat's milk soap is wonderful. I'd love to have a self sufficient lifestyle as well and ideally keep a small flock of sheep (etc.) whenever I ever have the land for it. Good for you for processing your own roving - that's the way to go! I've yet to do that but am looking forward to as soon as I find a source for raw fleeces.
