Am a new spinner and the hank that I have just finished plying and washing has a very strong odor. Is there a trick or method to use to remove it from the yarn? Any help will be most welcome!!!! Rheba
What is the fibre? Does it have an odour only when wet, or when dry as well? Did you notice it when spinning? Has it lessened now after washing? Sometimes an after-rinse with vinegar helps remove odours.
Did not notice anything when I was spinning it. The first 2 skeins were fine but this one is terrible. Have washed it a second time and did the vinegar rinse but it still smells.
