Hi. My name is Karyn and I teach environmental education and gardening to teachers and other educational groups through UNR Cooperative Extension. I have two children's demonstration gardens in opposite ends of the Las Vegas Valley, and we grow all kinds of things that kids usually don't get to see how they get to the stores. One of them is cotton. This year we grew three colors (White, brown and green), and now have several 5-gallon buckets of cotton just off the boles. I need to know what to do next and what supplies I need to purchase in order to show the kids the final steps to getting the fabric that they wear. We don't have a lot of money, but probably enough to purchase a few spindles for the kids to share and learn. Can anyone help me? What else do we need? Thanks a bunch! KJ
