Has anyone carded cotton and wool together?  I have a drum carder, and have only done wool, apaca, bamboo, silk etc. But I would like to try cotton. I wonder if it is a good idea, or if there are any special techniques or tips involved.

Cindy,

In Nola & Jane Fournier's book "In Sheep's Clothing," pg 186 is a photo of Targhee blended with pima cotton on a fine drum carder. They describe it as having "the feel of cotton but the elasticity of wool." While photos can be deceiving, it appears to be a very nice/soft feeling mix. I haven't actually tried this yet myself, but recently purchased pima cotton to blend with wool. Now I just have to decide which wool fiber to use - I'm comtemplating Columbia!
