I travel to festivals and set the bunny in my lap and as I pluck the hair I spin it right on to my wheel. I can relate to sweaty hands. Mine are not normally sweaty, but there has been times when it was so hot (we dress in period celtic dresses) I cannot spin the Angora at all. I hadn&#39;t thought of using powder. Now that you mention it , I could see where the powder would gum up and make things worse!! I am glad it is working out for you spinning right off of the cards. So one day I tried spinning straight from the cards and it was marvelous! Slub-free, laceweight and almost effortless both by wheel AND by spindle! That was years ago and after finding the forums I wondered if anyone else had &#39;unvented it&#39;, as Elizabeth Zimmerman used to say...</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
