Every night I spend about 30 mins re-reading old spin offs, I recently found inspiration for a xmas gift for my american neice, I shall knit her a pair of socks in red and white stripes with a blue heel with stars on. In the same issue I read a fantastic article about dyeing for stripey sock yarn.  Both were an excellent re-read proving that I was right in keeping all those mags!!!

Sue, I know what you mean.  I have collected Spin Off for many years.  I read and reread them many times..  As I have grown as a spinner over the years, I  go back and read somethings that I never noticed or didn't mean much to me at the time.  I have a gap when my career and raising 3 children took all my time and I had failed to purchase my Spin Off Magazines so I purchased many on Ebay that was out of print.  I think I paid about $35 for one issue that I was wanting...and the truth is...I don't feel bad about it...I have read and flipped through it many times.  Spin Off is a timeless magazine and even though I will purchase the emags....I still want the paper version to continue to add to my collection.   When the snow is blowing and wind howling, you will find me in my little studio curdled up in my comfortable easy chair sipping hot tea and browsing through my old Spin Off Magazine looking for my next project to spin and knit or weave or felt.

I too am reading through my many years of Spin Off magazines. They contain a wealth of knowledge - I just wish they would have continued the old method of binding the magazine, some of the later issues are falling apart!! I realize there may be an additional cost ............
