A fiber arts friend just introduced me to the Interweave community. What a fun place!
I'm back to knitting after several years spent in book publishing (still doing that), but find I need something to nourish my soul. I've produced lots of knitted pieces (afghans, sweaters, baby blankets, etc.), and now I'm looking at my wool stash (probably 8 fleeces) and dreaming about dyeing it beautiful colors and spinning my own yarn. I've done some of this in the past but am way rusty on technique.
I have lots of books I'm reading up on dyes and mordants, etc. So I'm looking for places to buy dyes.
I am doing this too ( Returning to spinning and knitting. Just keep on, it all comes back! On another topic, my dog just ate my handspun kitted cap. All that is left is short pieces of yarn. Does anyone know how to return the yarn to a fiber so that it can be respun? Wheeling
