Has anyone any suggestions on how to spin arty, creative, fancy yarns on spindles? I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to do this
Wheels and spindles creat twist. You create the yarn. If you can create "arty" yarn on a wheel, you should be able to do it on a spindle. Maybe you will need to park and draft or modify your technique but the process is the same. Actually since there is no orifice or hooks, a spindle is more flexible for spinning art yarns. Some yarns I spin I only use a spindle for as they will not easily go onto the bobbin of even my bulky spinner.
If you can give a more specific question, perhaps I can give you more direct advice.
