I have recently acquired a copy of Judith Mackenzie's "Spinning Visually" book, and some of her DVDs. In these, Judith mentions that a Crock-pot is ideal for washing mohair: can anybody out there give me some tips on how this is done?
I have the Crock-pot and the Mohair (on the hoof!) - I just need to know how?

I have only washed non-mohair fiber, but I would imagine it is similar to doing it in the tub only you'll have to empty the pot. Here is a page on washing mohair in the bathtub.
