Guilds question

I just joined and I found a place talking about guilds. What ARE guilds, as opposed to spinning groups? If I have a group, locally and I want to create a Guild what will I need to know or do? barb

I'M A WANNA BE SPINNER

I hope there are a lot of others like me. Where do I start? Should I try a hand spindle first. What kind of roving would be best to start with - the easiest? I welcome all replies. Nancy

Hi Connie, What part of Ohio are you in? I know that there are a number of spinning/fiber guilds in Ohio - it just depends on where you are. Judith Athens, OH
